Looks We Love - Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba looks so fresh at a recent LA museum visit in her white Tanya Taylor lace separates.

She takes on the monochrome trend by adding simple black accents with her handbag and flats, which look great with the midi length skirt. Find our similar Edie black lizard print flats here

Jemima Vine SS14 Photoshoot

On a sunny Summer's afternoon we headed to a leafy street in Stoke Newington and into a magnificent, natural light filled studio for our latest photoshoot.

Our photographer, Yeshen Venema, usually works with textiles, ceramics and prints and has a wonderful understanding of how light affects the appearance of materials, which really came through in his shots. Our favourites? Yeshen hooked our shoes onto a vintage garment rack, which gives a really industrial contrast to the liveliness of our Edie flats.  There was also some ladder action involved in capturing our Edie collection in one shot - there is a pair for every day of the week!

Special Guest Blogger : Hannah from

I don’t expect there are many people who can say they’ve designed their perfect pair of shoes, but thanks to Jemima Vine I can now add that to my CV.

I write a blog called which is entirely dedicated to celebrating stylish flat shoes (I never wear heels), and it’s through the blog that I found Jemima Vine. When the brand first launched last year, I got myself a pair of Edie slippers in snake print. I was THRILLED with them. They’re incredibly well made (and can I add, look VERY expensive – they really are a great price for the high quality) and are amongst the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

Let’s break down what’s so great about the Edie. Firstly, the shape. Sometimes I find that slipper styles can either look too masculine (being cut to cover too much of the foot) or too much like actual slippers, but Edie is the perfect blend of femininity (the cut shows is really sexy) and sturdy practicality. Secondly, never underestimate the comfort of a leather sole, though for this En Brogue Edie we’ve added a rubber pad for increased longevity and grip. Finally, this style literally goes with everything, particularly in the leopard and black velvet combination I chose for the collaboration. I tend to wear mine with turned up blue jeans and a Breton stripe top, but their subtle luxe feel means you could pair them with a classic black dress and wear to a cocktail party and they’d look equally at home. And of course, they’re brilliant for the office too.

I hope you like the end result as much as I do. I really do believe these are the perfect shoes; a go-with-everything, dress up or dress down, great quality, beautiful pair of flats that you’ll love for years to come.

Royal Blue – Pippa Middleton Styles Our Navy Flats in 3 Different Ways

We are thrilled that Pippa Middleton has been snapped around the streets of London recently sporting our ink blue Edie flats.  She’s been spotted wearing them in three different colours, but it seems that the classic elegance of the blues has made them her favourites!  They are a great all rounder, looking cool and chic in the Sun, yet still very polished on those slightly overcast days.  It’s a colour that is versatile and never boring and we look at how she’s styled them in three different ways.

1) Classic navy and white stripes livened up with a pop of neon on her skirt and earrings:

2) Navy makes a sleek combination with black with this smart jacket and jeans:

3)  Colour blocking with turquoise cashmere for a quick, yet eye-catching look:

We’re keeping watch to see how Pippa will wear them next! You can find the Edie navy flats on our website for £149 (we do deliver internationally!) and we’re very happy to help with any sizing or shoecare enquiries that you may have.

Key SS13 Trends

The days are starting to get that bit longer and the first welcome signs of Spring surely can’t be too far away!  We can’t wait to put our snow boots back into the dark depths of our wardrobes and are already finding ways to work the range into our outfits now (cue thermal tights!).  There’s some really fantastic trends to start investing in now and we thought we’d run over a few that are well and truly covered with our Jemima Vine SS13 capsule range.

We saw it last year and it’s set to hit a fever pitch this Summer.  Our Edie neon trim slipper is a fabulous way to nod to this trend rather than being covered head to toe.  It also happens to tick off the other big colour trend for the season (see no. 2!)

Colour, whether bright or pastel has been the big news for the past few years, but there’s something about the elegant simplicity of black and white that suddenly looks so refreshing.  Our Matilda monochrome courts in Italian calfhair are your go to office shoe for the new year.  Monochrome makes an excellent neutral and the 2″ block midi heel has been hailed the chic-est heel height for the year ahead.

In With Monaco Blue & Poppy Red

Pantone (provider of global colour standards for the design industry) recently announced the top 10 colours for Spring 2013 according to what designers are using in their collections, with major themes being a balance between light and bright and classic and new.

Monaco Blue is the standout, a shade somewhere between cobalt and navy blue that is tipped to become the new staple colour in your wardrobe, a change from more traditional neutrals.  It adds interest to an outfit of muted shades, whilst acting as an anchor to the really bright colours in the collection.  Our Edie slippers in Ink Blue will look sophisticated with monochromatic office pieces or complement your colour bright jeans nicely.

We have all seen Poppy Red for a few seasons on lips and nails, but the colour is expected to make the transition into our wardrobes for a spirited and optimistic feel.  Our Edie slippers in Red kid suede are a good way to add this pop of colour to your outfit without having to wear it head to toe.
